Katie Butler
Managing Attorney
Katie is the founder and managing attorney at Torch Law, bringing over 10 years of expertise in technology law, specializing in data privacy, security compliance, and technical transactions. Their career began with asset protection at Walmart, followed by roles at CrossFit and Sphero, where they transitioned to privacy and security compliance while enforcing GDPR.
At Torch Law, Katie sets strategic initiatives, builds client relationships, and provides expert legal counsel. Known for a deep, immersive approach to work, she combines a comprehensive perspective from in-house counsel experience with meticulous attention to detail.

Katie began her legal journey with a focus on asset protection during her first internship in law school (Global Sourcing Asset and Security Protection Summer, Walmart, May 2011 – Aug 2011). This focus continued into her first role out of law school with CrossFit, Inc., where she specialized in trademark and copyright protection (Sept 2012 – Jan 2016). Transitioning to Sphero as the GDPR was enforced, Katie was crucial in ensuring the company met privacy and security requirements (Nov 2018 – Nov 2019). This experience solidified her dedication to privacy and security compliance and technology transactions.
With extensive experience in incident response and breach notifications at Lewis Brisbois (Mar 2020 – May 2021) and Mullen Coughlin (June 2021 – May 2023), Katie gained first-hand knowledge of the consequences businesses face when they fail to implement sufficient security and privacy safeguards, and how regulators and consumers respond. This background was instrumental in founding Torch Law, bringing invaluable insight and expertise to the firm’s clients.
Having worked in-house, Katie understands business processes, deadlines, and bureaucracies, enabling them to anticipate and meet client needs. Her incident response experience allows her to accurately quantify clients’ risks and weigh the pros of compliance against costs.

Stefanie Moschetto
Firm Administrator
Stefanie joined Torch Law as the Firm Administrator in early 2024, bringing over 15 years of experience in organizational and detail-oriented roles. With a background in executive support, project management, and leadership, she previously served as the CEO of a consulting firm specializing in security, privacy, and GDPR assessments. Known for her personable nature and proactive approach, Stefanie enhances team effectiveness at Torch, ensuring the attorneys are fully supported in their business activities to deliver exceptional legal services.
Fun Fact:
In her free time Stefanie plays lots of Legos with her 5yr old son, enjoys cooking and lifting weights with her husband, and loves to travel.
Eunice Callejas Solano
Fellow
As a Legal Fellow at Torch Law, I assist with research and organization of emerging data privacy laws. I am currently a law student at Texas A&M University School of Law. My other experience includes legal translation and contract template drafting.
Fun Fact:
Outside of work, I enjoy acting, baking, and hiking.
Kalah Domer
Legal Assistant
As a Legal Assistant at Torch Law I keep the day-to-day office organized, help manage client information through Clio, and maintain calendars and scheduling. My interpersonal skills make me an invaluable asset to the firm. I look forward to helping Torch Law grow, as I expand my own legal knowledge.
